So, the word 'image' has two meanings.

Both are very important when engaging with social media to ensure you get the right message across for who you are and what you do as a business.

You tend to hit the jackpot when an image is not only used to demonstrate the specific message you are putting out, but also reflects you and your business – all at the same time.

Researchers found that coloured visuals increase people's willingness to read a piece of content by 80%.

When people hear information, they're likely to remember only 10% of that information three days later. However, if a relevant image is paired with that same information, people retained 65% of the information three days later.

46% of marketers say photography is critical to their current marketing and storytelling strategies.

Content with relevant images gets 94% more views than content without relevant images.

So, get your camera phones out and become creative. Don’t forget to ensure they are quality images and do some basic fixes via your photo app! Be imaginative – try to see your message or business from the eyes of your target audience. What are they interested in, what do they like to see?
